Interview with Tyra Scott

Interview by Wendy Williams

1. How was your high school life per your sexuality?
When I was in high school, I was not out as “gay” or transgendered. I actually dated a few real girls, though people called me gay and other derogatory names. I had friends when I was in high school, though the majority of my friends were female, I was picked on quite a bit. I never really talked to anyone about it back then, or expressed my feelings. I basically grew up in what someone would call a “hick” town. There were other guys that went to high school with that I knew and but later found out they were gay, but this was when I was 21 or 22 years old. If I could go back and do it all over again, there are many things I would do differently.

2. When did you know that something was “different” about you?
I was very young when I knew something was different about me. I never felt normal or right. I felt like an outsider. I remember being about 7 years old, it was Christmas Eve, and I was standing in front of my dresser hoping Santa would hear me and bring me girl clothes. I never felt like any of the other boys I was in school with and was nothing like my brother. Even as a child I was very effeminate. It wasn’t until I was about 20 years old when I first dressed up in girl’s clothes that it all made sense. It all clicked in my head at that time.

3. Tell us about the first time you dressed as “Tyra”?
I was about 20 years when I was dared to dress up. My friends picked out a few clothes for me, did my makeup, and fitted a wig on me. When I look back at pictures from that time, I just laugh and say “oh what a mess I was”. I had no idea what I was doing back then with makeup and clothes. Back in the very beginning I was just doing “drag” and performing in clubs. But when I dressed that way I felt complete and whole. So it slowly progressed into a constant thing. Whenever I went out I was dressed up as “Tyra”. It is funny how things come full circle, and what we have to go through to realize who we really are.

4. Who was the first transsexual you ever seen and what did you think?
The first transsexual I ever saw Felicia Farrington. She was a performer at a club that I eventually started performing at as well. She was beautiful and stunning. I remember seeing her and just being amazed. I learned a great deal about performing from her. I did get to know her, but lost contact with her after she moved back to her home town.

5. Have you been with a female before, if so how was the experience?
Even though I have dated a few “real” girls I have not actually had sex with a female. I have made out, and fingered and did oral on a girl but that is as far as it went. It is just not my thing and does not turn me on at all.

6. How has your family dealt with your transition?
It has been a very bumpy road with my immediate family. My parents don’t really talk to me, and only randomly send a birthday card or Christmas card. Other than that they have no involvement in my life. I have made several attempts to have them in my life, but their actions show they want nothing to do with me. I have accepted it and I’m not going to let it bring me down or hinder my life. I do have other extended family members who do speak to me and are part of my life.

7. When did you become curious about doing porn?
It was back in 2006 and there was an ad for TS girls in Vegas who are interested in adult modeling. I was in need of money and so I did it. Plus it was a little “dirty” secret of my own at the time. That first solo scene was for Shemale Strokers.

8. What, when and describe your first professional porn shoot?
My first porn shoot was for Shemale Strokers in 2006. It was filmed at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. The suite was insanely gorgeous. I was extremely nervous and had no idea what I was doing. Sammy from Shemale Strokers was great, and directed me in what to do. I had no idea on how to model or what to do with my face or how to smile and when I look back at those photos and video I just laugh. I actually still have the outfit I wore in that shoot. I am actually thinking about auctioning that outfit off.

9. What is the typical day like for you?
A typical day for me is a busy day. I wake up at 7 am, shower and get ready for my office job. I get to the office by 9am and work until about 5:30 pm. Then come home and cook dinner for my fiancé and I. At 7:15 or 7:30 I start to get ready for my cam show. My goal is to be on cam by 8pm. Then when my cam show is finished, I send out emails to fans and work on my blog and editing video and photos for my Gold Club. Then off to bed at midnight.

10. Tell us about your camming, what viewers can expect, where they can see you, etc
I have been camming since June of 2012 and I do enjoy it. My viewers can expect to see a fun interactive show. I love chatting with the viewers. I don’t type to them unless they are unable to hear me. I do like to keep things changing with different outfits and different rooms within my house. I am actually starting to do, strip cam shows. Where with every tip, I remove an article of clothing, once I am nude, the show begins. Occasionally my fiancé joins me on cam for a couples show, and those are always FUN.

11. You recently won Model of the Year, why do you think you won and how did it feel to accept the award?
Winning that award was an amazing experience. I was totally in shock. I couldn’t believe it. I walked off stage and cried. I have been doing shoots for Shemale for nearly 7 years. I owe so much to them. The fans on Strokers have been so great and so supportive over the years. This award is because of them.

12. Give our readers some insight on
My blog launched on January 8th, 2013 and it has been growing ever since. I want to use my blog as a way for my fans to get to know me and feel more connected with me. I want people to see that I am not just a blonde TS porn performer. There is a lot more to me than just porn. I always use my blog to promote some of the most beautiful girls in the business that I know. Friends support Friends.

13. Any upcoming projects you can give us a jump start on?
There is one big project that I have been working on, and there is finally light at the end of the tunnel. I have teamed up with Spunk Lube and we are launching a Tyra Scott Spunk Lube. I love the bottle design and hope my fans do as well. We have worked long and hard on this and I can’t wait for it be on shelves at the end of the month. Fans will also be able to purchase it from my blog site.

14. What do you hope your fans come away with when they see you in porn or on cam?
I want my fans to come away from my scenes or my cam show with the feeling of pleasure, satisfaction, stress free. I want them to be able to drift off for a few minutes and forget the troubles of the world and enjoy themselves. I don’t believe in labels. I believe that there is just pleasure, and if it feels good and gives you pleasure then that is all that matters.

15. What are your social media sites to find you?
